PORTLAND — The temperamental spring weather stayed dry Monday night for the spring opening of the Monday PIR race series that will run every week through Aug. 27.  Expanded categories hit the tarmac and old friends renewed their rivalries as the wind was ever-present and the racing was full throttle.
