Mansker, who holds the Alpenrose records for the flying 200m, the kilo and the team sprint, will contest the sprint and the three-man team sprint in Australia with Project London 2012 teammates Michael Blatchford and Jimmy Watkins. In the kilo time trial event, Mansker posted a faster time than the eventual gold medalist, Alsander Quincy of Trinidad and Tobago, before Wednesday’s competition was postponed due to rain. When officials restarted the event Thursday morning, Mansker went on to ride a time of a, nearly one second slower than his top Wednesday time but still good enough to collect silver, his second medal of the competition.

Hammer also earned an automatic qualification for the omnium. On the men’s side, Bobby Lea (Topton, Pa./Pure Energy Cycling-ProAirHFA), who earned his position by placing third in the omnium in Argentina, will contest the same event in Melbourne.
