Wait-Molyneux wins l’Abitibi TT

AMOS, Quebec — Vancouver’s Colby Wait-Molyneux topped a 130-rider field today in the stage 3 time trial of the Junior Nations Cup Tour l’Abitibi in Quebec. Riding for the USA Cycling Junior National Team, 17-year-old Wait-Molyneux covered the 12.4 km course in 15, minutes and nine seconds, just four seconds faster than the nearest rider.

Today’s winning ride catapulted Wait-Molyneux from 48th overall into third behind New Zealand riders James Oram and Dion Smith. The Tour l’Abitibi started Tuesday and continues through Sunday, July 24.
