VANCOUVER, Wash. — OBRA Junior rider Colby Wait-Molyneux (Hammer Nutrition/CMG Racing) will be making another trip with the USA Cycling Junior National Team later this month. Wait-Molyneux, who traveled to Belgium with the team in April, will race the 43rd Tour de l’ Abitibi July 18-24 in Quebec, Canada.

The 17-year-old, who won the high Desert Omnium Pro/1/2 time trial last weekend, finished fourth in the Junior 17-18 time trial at the USA Cycling National Road Championships in Georgia last month and is hoping to get a spot on the time trial squad that USA Cycling sends to the world championships in September.

The Tour de l’ Abitibi is the only North American stage of the UCI Junior Nations Cup and is a preparing event for the world championships. Each edition brings the best junior riders in the world. Past winners include former Motorola pro Michaël Zanoli (Holland), French superstar Laurent Jalabert and former 7-Eleven pro Alex Steïda (Canada), the first North American to wear the yellow jersey in the Tour de France.
