Tresser, Lewis win PIR Monday

PORTLAND — Christian Tresser (West End Bikes/Specialized) started off the month of May with his first win of the season at Portland International Raceway Monday night. The perennial series winner notched 18 points over the evening in the Masters Men 30+ Cat 1/2/3 race, two better than runner-up Robin Wessel (Team Oregon/Laurelwood Brewing). Ironclad Performance Wear’s Jeff Harwood was third with 15 points.


Sorella Forte continued its winning streak in the Open Women’s race, with Leigh Lewis taking the top honors this week with 17 points. Teammate Sarah Tisdale was second with 13. Alexandria Schultz was third, also with 13 points. Dr. Will Bar’s Peter Selig won the Masters Men 30+ Cat 4/5 race with 17 points. Ironclad Performance Wear’s Shaun Conley was second with 13 points. Michael Girard (Portland Velo) was third with 10. Rick Bostoh won the Novice men’s race ahead of Tom Meese and Russell Mantifel (Lucky 13).
