PORTLAND — Team Oregon/Laurelwood Brewing’s Brendan Treacy moved up one spot this week at Mt. Tabor after finishing second to Ryan Trebon (LST/Felt) during last Wednesday’s series race. In the Senior women’s race, Ironclad Performance Wear continued its hot streak, taking the top two spots.

Treacy went on a solo flyer late in the race and just barely held off a quickly closing Joe King (Guinness Cycling Team) right at the line to take the week #4 win. Sam Nicoletti (Gentle Lovers) crossed the line for third in front of David Sherman (Bridgetown Velo) to preserve his series lead.

In the Senior women’s race, Ironclad’s aggressive riding again placed riders in the top two spots, with Brianna Walle taking the win and Anna Christiansen following for second. Series leader Anne Davis Usher (Upper Echelon Fitness) finished third to hang onto her overall advantage.

In the Fixed-Gear event, Erik Hofland (Therapeutic Associates/Sagebrush Cycles) climbed into the series lead with a win Wednesday night in front of Edward Groth (Team Slow) and David Bisers (Tensegrity PT Cycling).

The Velo on the Volcano series continues at Tabor for two more weeks, ending July 13.
