Stayton takes PIR Tuesday Nighter

PORTLAND — Corey Stayton (HPChiro/Alpine Mortgage) this week returned to Portland International Raceway and won his first weekly Tuesday Nighter since 2006. Stayton, who took second last Tuesday, finished the evening with 19 points to win in front of Dwayne Farr (Soraz Racing) in second with 14 points and John Leonard (Rapha Racing NW) in third with 13.

After winning the May Cat 4-5 series, Team Cthulhu’s Byron Breeden has turned his attention to the Cat 3-4 race and took the win Tuesday night ahead of Diamond Law Cycling Team’s Chris Deardorff and Guinness Cycling Team’s Craig Brouhgton. In this week’s Cat 4-5 race, Scott Mares (Verge) won ahead of Beaverton Bicycles Club juniors Killian Bailey and Grant McElroy.
