One last race on OBRA’s 2011 calendar

MEDFORD — Southern Oregon will fire the last shot of the 2011 OBRA cycling schedule with the News Year’s Revolution Cross Dec. 31 at the Cedar Links Golf Course in Medford.

The course, which is about three miles from I-5′s Exit 30 to the Crater Lake Highway, will wind through the undulating unused fairways of the golf course. Racing starts at 10 a.m. with the category C group, continues with the category B event at 10:45 and ends with the 55-minute A race at 11:45. Proceeds benefit Josephine County Search and Rescue. Many Oregon riders’ seasons will continue beyond the state at the USA Cycling Cyclocross National Championships in Madison, Wisc., Dec. 4-8.
