Liberles wins PIR Tuesday opener

PORTLAND — Josh Liberles (HPChiro/Alpine Mortgage Planning) opened the Tuesday PIR night races with a win in the Pro/1/2/3 category after getting in a breakaway group and gobbling up hot spot points. Liberles finished with 21 points on the evening, five better than Team Highlander’s Brian Forbes, who finished second with 16. Rapha Racing NW’s John Leonard rounded out the top three with 10 points.

Cameron Duff won the Cat 4/5 race by two points over Kyle Medlin. Stephen Fitzgerald was third. Eric Nelson topped the Cat 4/5 field with 15 points. Todd Fleischmann finished second with 12, and Antonio Castaneda was third with 10.
