Craig, English take Oakridge Super D

OAKRIDGE — Bend riders Adam Craig and Lizzy English took the Pro men’s and women’s wins Sunday at the Oakridge Super D, the third stop on the four-race Oregon Super D Series.

English covered the course down Alpine Trail in 50:41, more than two minutes faster than runner-up Alice Pennington. Jill Hardiman was third, finishing more than six minutes behind English.

Craig took the men’s win with a time of 42:45, just over a minute faster than second-placed rider Jason Moeschler of Nevada. Mark Weir finished third, 1:19 behind Craig.

The Oregon Super D Series concludes Sept. 3 and 4 with the Sandy Ridge Super D.
