BEND — The Oregon XC Series continues Sunday in Bend with the Cascade Chainbreaker on private land just west of Shevelin Park in the Skyline Forest. The Pro race starts at 10 a.m. All other categories will be going off in waves shortly thereafter (1-2 minutes between waves). There will be a kids race around 1:30-2 p.m., followed by awards for all categories.

The Chainbreaker course is a combination of singletrack, double track and dirt roads. There is a 3.5 mile starter loop that everyone will ride that has about 200 feet of climbing. There’s also an 11.5 mile lap that has an additional 800+ feet of climbing. The number of laps you ride depends on your category. The Pro men will ride three laps for 38 miles. Pro women will cover two laps for 26.5 miles.
