PORTLAND — Steven Beardlsey (Gentle Lovers) took home his first Cat 1/2/3 PIR Tuesday win of the season by taking the final sprint and piling up 21 points on the evening in combination with hot spot sprints. Guinness Cycling Team’s  Cliff Heaberlin finished second with 14 points. Last week’s winner Josh Liberles (HPChiro/Alpine Mortgage Planning) was third with 11 points.

The relatively fair spring weather inspired 233 riders to come out for the weekly series, 118 starting the Cat 1/2/3 race alone.

Cameron Duff was the big winner in the Cat 3/4 race, adding up 19 points to finish ahead of Stephen Fitzgerald (Close2myart) in second with 12 and Kyle Medlin in third with 10. Team Cthulhu’s Byron Breeden earned 15 points to win the Cat 4/5 race. Antonio Castaneda (Capitol Velo) was second with 12. Hammer Velo’s Ian Mastenbrook earned 10 points for third.
