Babcock passes Test of Endurance

BLODGETT — Kona’s Sean Babcock won the ninth race of the Oregon XC Series Sunday at the Test of Endurance 50 outside of Blodgett. Babcock covered the 50-mile race in just under four hours, setting the top mark for the Pro men at 3:54:04. Sunnyside Sports’ James Williams crossed the line for second more than eight minutes later at 4:02:15. Ben Parson’s of Kalispell, Mont., was third at 4:05:23.

Pia Oravetz was the fastest Pro woman of the day at 5:18:05, but Cat 1 Jill Hardiman set the fastest women’s markĀ  at 5:05:19. Melissa Norland (Team Dirt/Mudslinger) was third fastest at 5:56:13.

The Oregon XC Series’ 10th and final race takes place at Pickett’s Charge June 26 in Bend.
