BEND — Ryan Trebon picked up his first win of the 2010 Oregon XC Series Sunday at the Cascade Chainbreaker in Bend. The Kona rider finished the course on private timberland west of town in 2:25:17, just 10 seconds ahead of last year’s winner and fellow Bend local Chris Sheppard (Rocky Mountain Bikes). Giant’s Carl Decker, also of Bend, came in more than two minutes later for third.

Veloforma’s Alice Pennington took a commanding lead in the Pro Women’s series with a win Sunday in front of Lizzy English (Northstar Tahoe) and Sue Butler, who won Saturday’s Bend Don’t Brake Road Race. Pennington covered the course more than minute faster than English and Butler, who were separated by just one second at the line.
