Four weeks until Hood’s peloton descends on Tabor

PORTLAND — Four weeks from today the Mt. Hood Cycling Classic will revisit Mt. Tabor for stage 1 of the six-day race that starts Tuesday, June 1, in Portland with a prologue time trial at PIR. The last time Hood’s pro/am field visited the dormant volcano in southeast Portland, Toyota-United’s Hilton Clarke covered the 40 miles in 1:29:37, averaging nearly 27 mph for the win in front of teammate Ivan Stevic and HealthNet’s Rory Sutherland.
