Banana Belt #3 made its way around Hagg Lake for the last time of the season Sunday at the third and final race of the 2010 series.
HENRY HAGG LAKE — The 2010 Fuji Banana Belt Road Race series is in the books after three weekends of great racing and spectacular spring weather. About 350 riders each week tackled the course around the lake, with Gentle Lovers’ Steven Beardsley winning the Pro/1/2 Men’s series and a brand new Fuji carbon frame, among other prizes. Word-RCB’s Stephen Bedford took the Cat 3 Men’s series and the other Fuji carbon frame. CAPA Cycling’s Leia Tyrrell swept the women’s series and won a complete Fuji racing bike.
